Live a Life of Luxury in a Smart Home

Explore What Living in a Connected House Means

As premier home automation and theater experts serving New York, NY, we’ve seen many luxury homes. These range from villas to penthouses and modern houses designed with geometric shapes and floor-to-ceiling windows. Having been in the smart home arena for over 15 years, however, we’ve come to understand the difference between a luxury home and luxurious living.

A luxury home can provide a beautiful space to spend much of your time. Luxurious living, however, offers the ultimate in entertainment, lighting, and effortless control. This type of living is found in a connected house; a space managed easily and automatically.

Let’s explore a day of living in a connected home.

Morning

One of the best features of a smart home is its ability to prepare itself for you in advance. We'll discover your daily activities and lifestyle and then program your home to create the perfect environment throughout the day.

In the morning, your shades rise, nudging you awake, while your whole-home audio system tunes into your “Inspirational” playlist that streams softly through the room and out into the kitchen. You collect your hot latte and head to the preheated spa, the music following you.

Throughout the Day

Those working in the home office will find their home prepares the perfect setting for them, changing throughout the day. In the morning, the lighting resembles the color of sunrise, transforming throughout the day in relation to the changing light outdoors. Called circadian lighting, it aligns your body's 24-internal time clock, promoting focused energy during the day.

You'll notice your shades raising and lowering based on the direct sunlight, temperature, and programmed schedules. Your home allows in just enough diffused sunlight to bring in beauty, warmth, and the health benefits of the sun while reducing direct glare and harmful UV rays. Your lighting dims and brightens based on the level of natural light.

When it's time for a video conference call, tap the “Video Conference” icon on your smartphone or touchscreen. This system leverages the lifelike clarity of your 4K HDR TV and high-performance in-ceiling and in-wall speakers, along with Zoom Room integration, a premium camera, and a microphone. With one touch, the system readies itself, starting up the equipment, setting the lights, adjusting the shades, and pausing the background audio.

Evening

As the sun sets, you notice your west-facing shades lift, enabling you to view the ending of another beautiful day. When night falls, the shades lower for total privacy, and the lights settle into the soft orange-red glow of a setting sun, reminding your body it’s time for rest. Through your distributed audio system, a family member enjoys streaming jazz while preparing dinner while the kids take on each other in Minecraft. When it's time for bed, one tap on the "Good Night" button, and the lights dim, the AV equipment turns off, the doors lock, and the alarm arms.
